Outreach Internship
Spare Tyre has an internship available to assist with the outreach work of the company. This position is voluntary but travel and subsistence expenses up to £15 per day will be reimbursed.
The intern will work two days a week, starting as soon as possible, until the end of August 2010.
This internship is best suited to a person interested in arts administration within outreach and community arts, and looking to gain further skills within the sector.
You will assist with two projects for Spare Tyre.
- Recruiting new members of Spare Tyre's Company of Artists aged 60+, who will be offered masterclasses in a variety of performance skills.
- Set up and implement a revised system for measuring the impact that Spare Tyre’s workshops have on the participants involved.
Essential Attributes
- A strong, proven interest in inclusive arts / theatre
- Willing to travel to make visits to different organisations across London
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage own time.
- Computer literate
- An attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and willing to get involved in all areas of work
