On The Beach is a sensory participatory experience made for and with people living with dementias their carers. We will be performing in arts spaces and community and care settings.

We are looking for a confident stage manager with technical competencies and company management experience. You need to be comfortable being in costume, interacting with the audiences and touring to non-traditional theatre venues (eg. care homes, day centres, community and arts centres). No two Spare Tyre performances are ever the same –  a challenge and part of what makes our work special, memorable and responsive to the needs and curiosities of our audiences.

We'll be rehearsing in SE London for one week at the end of April and then taking a break for May while set, costumes and props are made. We'll resume rehearsing in June in East London with a short tour of outer London Boroughs in July. Further touring may happen in Autumn subject to continuation funding in and outside and London.

The current period is a total of 7 weeks work (including set ups and returns) paid at £644.70 per week (plus holiday pay, pension contributions if part of a recognised scheme eg. Equity/Nest, touring allowances). We are an ITC Ethical Manager and work to the ITC/Equity contract terms and conditions.

Please down load the pack for more information and let us have your application as soon as possible.

Yes we do ideally want the same person for the April week and the June / July period but if that's a problem please apply anyway.
