Welfare Reform Act

In 2012 the Welfare Reform Act is passed and the under-occupancy penalty disproportionately impacted disabled people, as 2/3 of those charged were registered disabled.

As our work with disabled adults continued, the need to hear their experiences and the challenges faced by disabled people became more important as government policies often disproportionately impacted their lives.
