Spare Tyre Theatre Company are hosting a series of weekly workshops for older people living with dementias and their carers in Hackney, London.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves and so did we. They all said they loved being involved and also how calming and relaxing the experience was, which is wonderful.

We're delighted to be bringing our multisensory creative arts workshops to 2 venues in Hoxton in early 2024. We're inviting Hackney residents to join us to craft together, move to music, and activate our imaginations with drama, storytelling and interactive activities.

The workshops will run for 4 weeks from Wednesday 31st January 2024 to 28th February 2024, 10am–12pm at Hoxton Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

The sessions are FREE to attend and you can come to all of them or just one. Please sign up at the front desk at Hoxton Hall (130, Hoxton Street) or fill in this form.

There will also be workshops in the afternoon on these dates at Mary Seacole House. These are run by Hackney Housing and are open to Hackney residents living with dementia. If you think you fit the bill, please contact Hackney Housing to join these workshops.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, please drop us an email on Producer@sparetyre.org or Poppy@hoxtonhall.co.uk. Or you can call or Whatsapp us on 07598 142 058.

Spare Tyre has over 20 years' experience working with older people with dementia. For an idea of what you can expect, please have a look at our other projects, such as our 5 year project, Together, in Haringey.

Sophie Holland and Lisa Muten will be facilitating this project. Sophie is a talented dancer and movement artist, and has most recently worked with us for On the Beach and Ghyama Arts. Lisa is a very experienced facilitator and dramaturg, and led the weekly sessions on the Together project.
