Blue Skies, the photography exhibition that resulted from our creative work with women from Solace Women’s Aid, will tour nationwide in 2017
I left the group feeling very inspired and free

During the project, women who’ve experienced violence explored what it means to dream, hope and aspire. The themes–transformation, perspectives, imagination, blue skies, revival and reflection–all played a part in aiding growth, and healing.
If you know a gallery that might be interested in hosting this exhibition of 17 images, please get in touch with Amy: amy@sparetyre.org, 020 85692 4446 (ext 273)
People who’ve experienced violence often alternate between seeing themselves either as victims or survivors. In this group we could begin to see ourselves as both of these but also as creators.
