This Spring we’re bringing back our regular online creative catch up for people living with long term health conditions. Originally entitled Covid Café, we’ve recognised that as the pace life for most people has long returned to normal, there are still a lot of us with a range of conditions, wanting to hang out with other people like us and flex our creative muscles - if only ever so gently - without leaving our homes.
I’m feeling a sense of connection, and appreciation for people being here and expressing themselves

Laura Rees, Monique Jackson, Rebecca Manson Jones and friends will be opening up the Creative Café space online in the chilly cold months of February – April.
Our virtual Café is a comforting confidential safe space hosted by artist-facilitators with long term health conditions. It’s very informal–join for as long as you want, from your bed or your sofa, screen on or screen off. You’ll find the Creative Café has just the view you imagine, and the perfect drinks/snacks for you, made by you.
Using breathing exercises, imagination, story, writing, sketching or craft, we offer a moment of connection with other people “who get it” people who understand what it is to live with illness. Ours is a space to share experiences and explore with creativity the possibilities and realities of who you are now. Whether you’re a newbie to your condition or you’ve been living with it for years, a pro-artist or someone who just likes the vibe, you’re welcome. You might like to have some paper, pen, pencils, objects from nature handy, or make pictures in your mind.
Chronically Creative is free and the sessions are for deliberately small numbers. Please sign up in advance and if your fatigue or life defeats you on the day, pop us a note, so we can let someone else have your place. We’ll send a reminder and an invite link to the Zoom space.
Due to the limited capacity of the sessions, we have a mailing list specifically for people who are interested in the Chronically Creative sessions. We email dates to this list first so we can give people who really need it a little more time to reserve a spot. You can join this list by signing up below. You will only hear from us about Chronically Creative events as we have a separate mailing list for the rest of our creative programme.
