• Esme Allman

    Artist Facilitator

    Esme is a poet, theatre-maker, and facilitator from South London.Her work explores history, B/blackness, world-making, and desire. She began her career as a Young Associate at the Young Vic. After, she was the Participation Associate at Clean Break Theatre, a role she held as part of the Jerwood Arts Creative Fellowship.  

    She has facilitated and delivered projects with many organisations in the arts and charity sector, such as the Unicorn Theatre, Autograph Gallery, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Brixton House, Hackney Empire, the Barbican Centre, Stratford East, the Bush Theatre, Passage, Bold Voices, Donmar Warehouse and the National Theatre.  

    She champions art-making as a way to effect social change as well as to support people's mental and physical health by forming connections through creativity with artists and participants. She thoroughly enjoys working at Spare Tyre, particularly on the Croydon Care Homes project delivered in Autumn 2025. 

  • Lara Marshall

    Creative Access Practitioner & Sensory Facilitator

    Lara (she/her) is a British-Moroccan, neurodivergent, creative access practitioner working across music, theatre and community projects. She has been with Spare Tyre since 2022, providing access support for: On the BeachChronically Creative and What Will Happen to the Cat?

    She has also stepped into sensory facilitation in dementia care homes for Creative Croydon 2025/26. Accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of all of her projects, she also works with Attitude is Everything to improve standards in music and live events. Lara is a musician (piano and violin) and poet (part of the 2019 Apples and Snakes Words First cohort). Her creative practices allow her to explore her cultural heritage and neurodiversity. 

  • Laura Rees

    Workshop Facilitator

    Laura originally trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and worked for 20 years as an actor with leading roles for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and Royal National Theatre, as well as across television, film and radio. 

    She then completed an MA in Applied Theatre at Goldsmiths University and has since been developing her creative practice as a participatory theatre artist. Her work centres on challenging perceptions of non-visible disabilities and illness and this is greatly influenced by her own experience of living with multiple sclerosis.  

    Laura has collaborated with Spare Tyre on a number of projects, including the Free Movement Lab for the Deptford Arts Festival 2022, Covid Café sessions and she currently co-facilitates the Chronically Creative sessions. Her project The How Are You Project, encapsulates Laura’s vision for improving society’s awareness of everyday conversations of health. Recent commissions have been with Camden People's Theatre and the Barbican. 

  • Jazmin Qunta

    Creative Facilitator & Dramatherapist

    Jazmin has collaborated with Spare Tyre since 2022, contributing to a range of creative and community focused projects. Her work centres on creating inclusive, supportive spaces where people of all backgrounds can engage with drama as a tool for expression and connection. Jazmin has facilitated on a range of sensory projects and productions, including We Will Be Happy Here, It All Makes Sensory, What Will Happen to the Cat?, and Ghyama! Arts

    Alongside her ongoing collaborations, Jazmin works with a variety of organisations as both a creative facilitator and a dramatherapist. She designs and leads workshops that blend theatrical practice with therapeutic approaches, supporting participants to explore identity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing through creative play and storytelling.

    Jazmin believes that everyone carries a unique story, and that creativity can be a powerful catalyst for self-discovery and belonging

  • Monique Jackson

    Participatory Artist

    Monique has worked with Spare Tyre Theatre on projects including Covid Cafes, Chronically Creative and an adult social care project in collaboration with Croydon Council

    Monique is a multidisciplinary artist who is enthusiastic to further learning and practicing anti oppressive frameworks. Monique has lived experience of chronic illness including long covid, to which she advocates further recognition and research.
