Spare Tyre are bringing their multisensory creative arts workshops for older people living with dementia and their carers to Croydon in September 2024.
With funding from Croydon Council and support from Stanley Arts, we will be hosting two public Dementia Cafés for local residents. During the workshops, our facilitators will engage in a range of creative and sensory arts activities, designed to stimulate cognitive function and improve mental wellbeing. If you're a carer of someone with dementia–whether that's as an informal carer for a parent or loved one, or formal support worker–join us for these workshops where you'll also be able to socialise with others like you.
The sessions are free to attend but it can be helpful to know who's coming in advance, so please use this link to sign up. If you're unsure or want anymore information, give us a call (07598 142 058) or email and we would be happy to have a chat.
We will also be hosting three workshops at the Acacia Care Centre, for residents living with advanced dementia. These workshops are available only to those living at the Acacia Care Centre.
The workshop sparked thoughtful reflection and left us with a sense of joy and fulfilment
