We are looking for an experienced stage and company manager with technical competencies who would like to be part of a part-devised, non-text led immersive creative process. We Will Be Happy Here is an interactive single person experience for individuals (and their support people). This experience will be a multi-sensory in-person experience. Alongside the in-person version, we are also creating an online live version where the guest takes part from home using a device and the installation runs live and interactively
The stage manager will be running the room on a day-to-day basis. They will work very closely with our artistic director and director of the production Rebecca Manson Jones and up to two performers and the creative team. Our Production Manager will be in the room 2/3 days a week to work alongside the Stage Manager and deal with production and design processes.
During performance weeks and for participatory workshops, the Stage Manager will liaise with the General Manager over the special requirements of each of the participants who will be learning disabled people with a range of access requirements.
This will be a fascinating and multi-tasking stage management role that will require someone with a flexible approach, a generous spirit, a lot of patience and willingness to experiment.
