Multisensory videos for people living with dementia and their carers available online
Each Wednesday during the Winter months, we will release a new sensory short film for people living with dementias and their carers, or indeed anyone who just wants to take five minutes to step outside their daily routine.
Filmed by Spare Tyre artists, these short moments might invite you to hang out with geese on a beach, sand wood in the garden, or dance in an Indian rainforest.
The films are being included in special multisensory creative packs sent to people living with dementias and their carers across London, as part of the Spare Tyre Through Your Letterbox programme.
Starting on Wednesday 18 November, a new film will be released each Wednesday at 11am on the Spare Tyre YouTube channel. The videos will remain available for you to enjoy at a time of your choosing, and can be played together for a longer experience.
These videos have been created by Rebecca Manson Jones, Lisa Muten, and Yolande Bramble-Carter. Music and sounds have come from Paul Johnson and Fauve Alice. Some editing was by Rose Chorlton.
